Typically, once the age of two, the crabs go all the way down to depths of 20–50 m (66–164 ft) and choose part in what is called podding; hundreds of crabs occur jointly in limited, very concentrated groups. Adult crabs are found ordinarily much more than two hundred metres (656 ft) down on the sand and muddy areas while in the substrate. They
